I am Jahan Golestani, a photographer and author. I’ve been photographing for over a decade and writing short stories, novels, and essays since 2016.

But my journey hasn’t been a straight path. I earned my Ph.D. in Biorefinery - pulp and paper sciences from Grenoble Institute of Technology, and after several years of work, I decided to follow my favorite fields; photography and writing. And that’s what brought me here.

I started with street photography, which remains my favorite genre and has naturally led me to documentary photography. I have completed two street photography collections that are ready for publication, along with a nearly finished documentary project that will be released soon. In addition, I’m working on multiple ongoing documentary and conceptual photography projects. I have also explored studio photography and am currently developing subject-based photo art collections.

On the writing side, I have finished several short stories and poems that I plan to publish, and I’m also working on a novel.

I welcome photography projects from media, magazines, newspapers, businesses, individuals, and fellow photographers. I’m always open to collaboration and look forward to receiving your collaboration proposals with great enthusiasm.
